‘Make Delhi AAP-da mukt’: Amit Shah appeals to voters

New Delhi, Jan 11 (UNI) Launching a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader Arvind Kejriwal ahead of assembly polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday appealed to the residents of the National Capital to “make Delhi AAP-da mukt”.

He accused the ruling party of misleading voters with “false promises.”

Amit Shah said the whole country has progressed from where it was but they have pushed Delhi into the abyss.

Addressing Slum Dwellers’ conference ahead of the February 5 Assembly election here, the Home Minister said they have been creating disaster for Delhi for the last 10 years.

“If you open the tap, there is dirty water, if you open the window, there is a foul smell, if you go out, there is a broken road, if you celebrate Chhath, you cannot bath.. such a Yamuna, and heaps of garbage on the sides of the roads… AAP has done the work of turning Delhi into a hell” he added.

Taking directly on Kejriwal, Shah said the toilet in his (Arvind Kejriwal) ‘sheeshmahal’ is more expensive than the slums.”

Highlighting the BJP’s achievements, the Home Minister claimed, “It was the BJP, not AAP, that provided houses to over 1 crore people.”

‘We have made a list of all your needs and handed it over to JP Nadda ji and Modi ji. Once we win, we will resolve all your problems,” Shah said.

He assured that the BJP’s manifesto would reflect the people’s aspirations, emphasising that it would not be “mere promises like AAP’s manifesto” but actionable commitments.
