In a dramatic incident in Bhopal on January 31, a young man climbed an 80-foot mobile tower near the Barkhedi Under bridge in Jehangirabad.
After reaching the top, he began shaking the tower, which caught the attention of locals. Alarmed, they quickly notified the police and the municipal corporation.
A crowd quickly gathered at the scene, while emergency services, including the police, fire brigade, and the State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF), rushed to the location. Despite attempts from locals to stop him, the young man refused to come down. Police officers and rescuers spoke to him for some time, urging him to descend safely. After several minutes of persuasion, he eventually climbed down.
The man, identified as Vivek Thakur from Aishbagh, was reportedly under the influence of alcohol. Had he refused to come down, the situation could have ended in a tragic accident. Police have now taken him into their custody for further action, ensuring his safety and addressing the cause of this reckless act.
