- Goods worth Rs. 13.50 lakh including jewellery and bikes recovered
Bhopal: Kamla Nagar police has arrested 3 vicious criminals. Goods worth about Rs. 13.50 lakh including three stolen bikes and gold and silver jewellery have been recovered from the arrested criminals. All three are vicious criminals, who have been sentenced to three years each. They had come out of jail only a few months ago, after which they had started committing crimes again. Initial interrogation has revealed a total of 6 crimes that took place in Kamla Nagar, Kotwali, Piplani and Talaiya. Additional DCP Rashmi Agarwal Dubey said that Satish Kumar Nema, who lives in Sahyadri Complex Kamla Nagar, had gone to attend a religious program with his family on January 27. When he returned, he found the lock of the house broken and the goods scattered.
On checking, gold bracelets, gold chain, pendants, 3 mangalsutras, four earrings, silver anklets, silver coins and other items including Rs 25,000 cash kept in the cupboard were missing. Police had registered a case against unknown accused in this matter. A special police team was formed to uncover this incident of daylight theft. Clue found from CCTV camera When the police team searched the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the scene, the suspects were seen going inside the house. Both of them were identified as old criminals Niaz and Raju Khatri.
Later, when both of them were caught near the ground in Shastri Nagar, they accepted to have carried out the crime along with their partner Abid. On the information given by the three, police recovered goods worth about Rs 13.50 lakh including three motorcycles and jewelry stolen from Kamla Nagar, Kotwali, Talaiya and Piplani areas.
