Ankara, Feb 4 (UNI) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Syria before the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which begins on March 1, Turkish pro-government newspaper Turkiye reported, citing sources.
Syria’s Interim President Ahmed Sharaa, will visit Turkey on Tuesday, February 4 and will officially invite President Erdogan to Damascus, and the latter will pay a return visit before Ramadan, the newspaper claims.
In Russia, Ramadan will begin on February 28 at sunset in 2025. The first day of the Muslim fast will be on March 1, and the last will last until the evening of March 29.
The head of Turkey’s National Intelligence Organisation (MIT), Ibrahim Kalin, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan have already visited Damascus.
