National Productivity Week begins at BHEL

Bhopal: National Productivity Week, 2025 was inaugurated today at BHEL, Bhopal by Shri S M Ramanathan, Executive Director by administering the Productivity Pledge to all senior officials. Shri P K Upadhyay, General Manager (Operations), all General Managers and DROs were present on the occasion. The theme of National Productivity Week this year was “From Ideas to Impact: Protecting Intellectual Property for Competitive Startups”.

In his address, Shri Ramanathan said that all employees should be equally encouraged to increase productivity in the company. Intellectual Property (IP) is very important for the success of a startup in an innovation driven economy. A solid Intellectual Property (IP) strategy protects innovations, increases valuation, strengthens market position and attracts investments. He said that by optimizing resources in conjunction with startup productivity tools and methodologies, costs can be reduced and growth can be accelerated.

He emphasized that empowering startups with knowledge, tools and resources to innovate, nurture and commercialize their ideas is not only beneficial but also imperative for India to consolidate its position as a global innovation leader.

On this occasion, Shri Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, General Manager (SOM) presented the outline of various events organized under National Productivity Week. The program was moderated by Shri J Rajagopal, Additional General Manager (SYX/PYX) and vote of thanks was given by Dr. Bhagwan Singh, Engineer (PYX).
