Hyderabad,. Feb 13 (UNI) Tech giant Microsoft will set up an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center here in collaboration with the Telangana government, Chief Minister A Reventh Reddy announced on Thursday.
The new center will develop cloud-based AI infrastructure, including an AI Knowledge Hub, Reddy said after inaugurating another new facility of the Microsoft company at Gachibowli in the city.
Extending gratitude to the Microsoft leadership team for trusting Telangana, he said the IT Company’s commitment to innovation will definitely contribute to state Rising vision.
The state government is a partner in launching ADVANTA(I) GE TELANGANA, which includes an AI Foundation Academy, Reddy said.
With this partnership, Telangana and Microsoft will introduce Artificial Intelligence ( AI) education in 500 government schools and also use Artificial Intelligence for good governance and public services, the CM said.
Having the second office building of the Microsoft company in Hyderabad is a milestone in the development of the IT sector, he said the world’s biggest Microsoft company has been maintaining a close and long association with the city.
Microsoft India completed 25 years recently; Reddy said the giant IT company that created global impact and developed innovations from Hyderabad.
The expansion of Microsoft will create more job opportunities for the youth in Hyderabad, the CM said the big facility will empower the youth further.
This investment will strengthen our startup ecosystem and provide mentorship, AI tools and access to a global network , he added.
