Sadar Manzil: A Regal Legacy Transformed into a Heritage Hotel

  • A Historic Marvel Opens Its Doors

Bhopal: For the first time in history, guests will step into the grandeur of Bhopal’s 126-year-old Sadar Manzil, now reborn as a heritage hotel. As the city prepares to host the Global Investors Summit (GIS) on February 24-25, this architectural masterpiece will serve as a witness to the event, welcoming elite guests into its opulent embrace.

After seven years of meticulous restoration, Sadar Manzil stands resplendent, offering 22 exquisitely designed rooms that echo the splendor of the Nawabi era. Twenty of these rooms are already booked for industry titans, including directors, CEOs, and MDs of renowned national corporations. This marks the first time guests will spend the night within these historic walls, reliving the majesty of a bygone era. Post-Summit, Sadar Manzil will open its doors to the public, offering a rare opportunity to experience its regal charm.

Before its grand unveiling, the hotel underwent a successful trial phase, hosting the families of staff members. Every detail, from culinary excellence to ambient lighting and intricate interiors, was scrutinized to perfection. The positive response solidified the decision to launch the hotel during GIS, with an official inauguration anticipated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav or a senior minister before the summit.

A Five-Star Retreat for Global Investors

Bhopal is preparing for an influx of distinguished guests, securing over 1,600 rooms across more than 60 upscale hotels. Reserved exclusively for top industrialists, Sadar Manzil now joins the elite five-star category, playing host to key figures like National Dairy Development Board Chairman Minesh Shah and Omega Power MD Hari Prakash, among others.

From Nawabi Dream to Contemporary Grandeur

Originally a palace of dreams in the Nawabi era, Sadar Manzil has withstood the test of time. Post-independence, it served as a municipal office before being handed over for restoration under a public-private partnership in 2017. Now, it emerges as a cultural landmark, seamlessly blending history with modern luxury.

A Cultural Showcase at GIS

The summit will also feature the ‘One District, One Product’ expo, where 38 local artisans will present their handcrafted goods. Guests can witness the live crafting of earthenware, spices, and regional delicacies, offering an immersive glimpse into Madhya Pradesh’s rich artisanal heritage.

Sadar Manzil is no longer just a relic of the past—it is a living, breathing testament to the city’s regal history, ready to welcome the world into its timeless embrace.
