The culture in India where mountains, rivers, hills, land, trees, animals are worshipped in the form of various festivals is the oldest culture in the world. Social justice has been embedded in the historical background of India for many centuries. Now every year on 20 February, World Social Justice Day is celebrated all over the world.
The UN announced to celebrate this day in the year 2007. The main objective of celebrating this day is to end the discrimination being done by people with each other on the basis of race, class, gender, religion, caste, culture etc. so that everyone can get the benefit of the social justice provision present in the Constitution. Today, social harmony is necessary to remove the inequalities prevailing in the society and the country. Social Justice Day is celebrated across the country and the world to ensure that every citizen of the country gets education, employment, health and other basic facilities of life.
