Bhopal, Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, The Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, in collaboration with the DIAMOnDS (DHR ICMR Advanced Molecular Diagnostic Services) Centre, AIIMS Bhopal, is organizing a one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) program and workshop on ‘Lung Cancer Pathology’ on March 8, 2025 (Saturday). This significant academic event is spearheaded by Prof. Vaishali Walke, Head of the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, AIIMS Bhopal, as the Chairperson, with Professor Deepti Joshi, Principal Investigator, DIAMOnDS Centre, AIIMS Bhopal, as the Co-chairperson, and Dr. Ujjawal Khurana, Additional Professor, Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, AIIMS Bhopal, as the Organizing Secretary. The CME and workshop have received an overwhelming response, with around 45 delegates, including senior faculty members, postgraduate students, and consultant pathologists from across Madhya Pradesh, registering for the event.
The academic sessions will be led by esteemed faculty members, including Professor Deepali Jain from AIIMS New Delhi, Dr. Pooja Bakshi, Director and Senior Consultant, Department of Cytopathology, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and Professor Alkesh Khurana, Head of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, AIIMS Bhopal. These distinguished experts will present in-depth discussions on the clinical diagnosis of lung cancer, the cytopathology of lung cancer, and recent advancements in lung cancer pathology.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh emphasized the significance of this event, stating, “Lung cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related mortality worldwide, and early, precise diagnosis is crucial for effective management.
