Bhopal – The Health Department of Bhopal has commenced health check-ups and vaccinations for Hajj pilgrims, beginning Wednesday. The initiative is being conducted at the Madhya Pradesh State Hajj Committee’s Hajj House located in Singarcholi, Gulmohar Garden, and will continue until April 21.
To ensure the well-being of the pilgrims, a dedicated team of doctors and paramedical staff has been deployed. The department’s medical team arrived at the Hajj House at 11 a.m. and began administering necessary vaccinations following thorough health screenings.
Pilgrims are being given meningitis and polio vaccines, which are mandatory for international travel, especially during Hajj. Additionally, influenza vaccines are being administered to pilgrims over the age of 60. The department has also made special arrangements for the vaccination of Japanese Encephalitis and other routine immunizations for those in need.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari stated that after the completion of health screening and vaccinations, each pilgrim is being issued a personal health card, which they will carry during their pilgrimage.
