New Delhi, April 28 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) youth wing on Sunday organised a walkathon to garner support for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal under the party’s Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se campaign.
The Delhi government’s cabinet ministers Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi, MP ND Gupta, and national secretary Pankaj Gupta, along with AAP Lok Sabha candidates Somnath Bharti and Sahiram Pahalwan, have also attended the walkathon organised near Deshbandhu College in South Delhi.
People were seen wearing yellow T-shirts with ‘Jail ka Jawab Vote Se’ written on them and holding AAP flags in their hands.
Addressing the media, AAP senior leader Saurabh Bharadwaj alleged that BJP people have established a washing machine that even the world’s biggest scientists could not make. The people whom the BJP called corrupt and against whom the campaign was launched are put in this washing machine, they come out spotless.
Bhardwaj accused BJP leaders Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, Maharashtra’s Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, Lok Sabha candidate from Kurukshetra Naveen Jindal, and MLA Janardhana Reddy of corruption and said after washing for some time, they become completely pure.
Bhardwaj claimed that an attempt was made to kill Arvind Kejriwal; he was denied insulin for a month and was not allowed to meet his family and MPs.
“It is clear that the Prime Minister is worried and the BJP is nervous. This nervousness is visible every day in his campaign. The self-proclaimed biggest party (BJP) said that it would change the Constitution,” he alleged.
“These people (the BJP) are not even talking about 2024, they are directly jumping to 2047. The BJP was making big claims while giving the complete road map for the next 25 years, but now the Prime Minister is saying that if opposition parties come to power, then this will happen. That means the Prime Minister is now seeing that this time the opposition party is going to form the government, and the entire country is understanding this,” he said.
Meanwhile, senior AAP leader Atishi said, “Today, the Aam Aadmi Party is not campaigning, rather, the people of Delhi are campaigning for the Party and Arvind Kejriwal. The people of Delhi are contesting the elections, and the people of Delhi will win the elections.”
“BJP’s nervousness is visible. They had hoped that if Arvind Kejriwal was put in jail, the Aam Aadmi Party would not be able to campaign. But the crowd that gathered at Sunita Kejriwal’s road show in East Delhi was huge,” Atishi asserted.
