Shahjahanabad Police has almost completed the investigation in the suicide case of Bala Saraswati, a PG student of GMC. It has come to the fore in the investigation that the student was mentally disturbed; she had to submit her thesis as soon as possible, because she was pregnant and she used to stay more on vacation.
During the investigation, the relatives of the deceased have said in the statement that she was being mentally harassed by her former head of the department. After marriage, she had taken leave for more than seven months due to personal reasons. Due to this, she was under a lot of tension. The head of the department has come under the scanner in the police investigation and has been called to record her statement.
In fact, on August 1, Dr. Bala Saraswati committed suicide by injecting anesthesia at home in the early hours of Monday. In the morning, the husband took her to the hospital, where she was declared dead. Police got suicide note from mobile. No matter what happens if I give my blood and soul and give my all it will never be enough for them. You have chosen to enter this college against your will. I deeply regret this decision. I have learned the subject but the lack of morals and toxicity in these people is so much that I cannot tolerate it.. I am really sorry. Bala had sent this note to her friend.
The case had made headlines
This matter was in a lot of headlines, after which JUDA went on strike. JUDA’s strike continued for three to four days, after which the then department head was removed. Not only this, on the demand of JUDA, the then Head of Department was removed from GMC and posted in Directorate of Medical Education.
Investigation almost complete
The investigating officer of the case ACP Shahjahanabad NK Upadhyay told that the investigation in the case has almost been completed. Statements of the family members of the deceased have been recorded, GMC former head of department has been called once again in this suicide case. Further action will be taken after recording their statement.
