- Instructions to blacklist a construction company of Morena
Bhopal: On the instructions of Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, a new initiative of surprise inspection has been started to ensure the quality of construction works in the state. Under this, on the 5th and 20th of every month, surprise inspection will be done of randomly selected teams, districts, construction works and places for taking samples of material through software. In this sequence, recently, inspection was done by teams of Chief Engineers in one district each of the seven zones of the Public Works Department.
A review meeting was held through video conferencing under the chairmanship of Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation, Bharat Yadav. In the meeting, the report of 35 construction works of seven districts inspected was presented, which was uploaded on the software and displayed on the portal. Managing Director Building Development Corporation Mr. Pankaj Jain, Chief Engineer Public Works Department KPS Rana, Chief Engineer S.R. Baghel, senior officers of the department and all the Chief Engineers were present in the meeting.
Managing Director Yadav instructed to prepare separate checklists for inspection of road, building and bridge construction works. Suggested to fix a standard format for the inspection report, so that the shortcomings and positive points of the construction works can be clearly shown. He instructed that all the parties will have to submit the final inspection report after the lab report of the samples taken during the inspection is received.
In the review meeting, it was decided to take strict action and suspend the sub-engineer and issue a show cause notice to the Executive Engineer after finding serious deficiency in quality in the construction work of Singpur-Dharampur Road to Majhpura Road. Instructions were given to blacklist the contractor M/s Maa Sharda Construction and Supplier Panna.
