Additional Collector arrested taking bribe

Lokayukta has taken a big action in Mauganj district of Madhya Pradesh and caught the Additional Collector red handed taking a bribe.

A bribe of Rs 20,000 was demanded from complainant Ramnivas Tiwari for taking action in his favour by the Revenue Court in the partition file, out of which Rs 10,000 was taken from him first. On the request of the complainant, the amount was also reduced by Rs 5,000. On Thursday, in the Lokayukta, Mauganj Additional Collector Ashok Kumar Ohri was caught taking a bribe of Rs 5,000. Lokayukta’s Deputy Superintendent of Police Praveen Singh has carried out the action with a 12-member team.

CM suspends him: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav wrote on social media – Under the government’s zero tolerance policy against corruption, an order has been given to suspend the Additional Collector in the case of taking a bribe.
