After Gill, Pant tons, Bangladesh off to rousing start in pursuit of 515

Chennai, Sep 21 (UNI) After India declared its second innings at 287 for four, riding on the back of breezy centuries by Shubman Gill (119 not out) and left hander Rishab Pant (109), Bangladeh, set a target of 515 runs, got off to a rousing start on the third day of the first cricket test here on Saturday.

At tea, Bangladesh raced to 56 for no loss in 13 overs, as the pitch eased out and offered little help for the fast bowlers.

Left handed Openers Shadman Islam was batting on 21 (40 balls, 2×4), while his partner Zakor Hasan seems to be in a more aggressive mode having struck five fours and a six in his 38-ball unbeaten 32.

India used four bowlers, giving three overs each for pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj and off spinner R.Ashwin, while another pacer Akash Deep bowled four overs.
