- Jumped in list of government medical colleges

AIIMS Bhopal has made a tremendous jump in the list of government medical colleges and has secured 16th position in the country.
Recently, an article in the July issue of Reader’s Digest stated that 2 years ago AIIMS Bhopal did not figure in any ranking, but during the last two years AIIMS Bhopal has made tremendous progress. In 2023, AIIMS Bhopal was ranked 20th.
While in 2024 it jumped four places to 16th position. Executive Director Professor Ajay Singh is directly related to this ranking of AIIMS Bhopal. Professor Singh took charge here in August 2022 and took some strict steps to strengthen the credibility of AIIMS, as a result of which in the year 2023, AIIMS Bhopal came from zero to 20th position among government hospitals across the country and then after that in 2024 it secured 16th position. AIIMS New Delhi remains at the first position.
Number of admitted patients reached 50 thousand
In the past years, the number of patients in OPD has increased by 56 percent, patients admitted in IPD have increased from 32000 to 50000, while emergency cases have increased by 170 percent. Bed occupancy has increased from 62 to 77 percent, while the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Yojana have increased from 53 percent to 13337. Similarly, AIIMS Bhopal has achieved remarkable progress in the field of research. In the coming days, AIIMS Bhopal will achieve new heights of progress.
