Bhopal: Under the guidance of Professor (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director & CEO of AIIMS Bhopal, the Department of AYUSH organized a yoga session for specially abled children at the Arushi Rehabilitation Center in Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal. Approximately 26 children participated in the program and were introduced to the benefits of yoga.
Yoga practice is anticipated to provide physical, mental, and spiritual benefits to these children. The practice is expected to enhance their physical abilities and improve their mental and social well-being. Through yoga, they are expected to attain mental clarity, stability, and self-discipline. The yoga session was organized with the assistance of volunteers Anil Mudgal and coordinator Sapna Gupta from the Arushi Center. The session included various yoga practices such as warm-ups, gentle exercises, rhythmic yoga, Pranayama, meditation, and chanting of ‘Om’.
Dr. Danish Javed highlighted the significance of yoga, stating that it can play a crucial role in the rehabilitation of differently abled children. Through initiatives like these led by AIIMS Bhopal, efforts are being made to integrate yoga into the lives of specially abled children and inspire them to lead positive and healthy lives.
