AIIMS mobile phone-based yoga app gets copyright

Bhopal: Under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, continues to excel in promoting academic excellence, knowledge-sharing, and innovation. The institute has recently achieved another milestone with a mobile app developed by a team of six doctors, which has been granted copyright by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

This mobile app accurately assesses a person’s mental health from the comfort of their home and provides step-by-step instructions on various yoga and meditation techniques. With the help of a trained yoga instructor, users can not only maintain their physical and mental well-being but also overcome issues like depression and anxiety.

The team behind this innovative app is led by Dr. Varun Malhotra, Additional Professor, Department of Physiology, AIIMS Bhopal, and includes Dr. Vijender Singh, Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Dr. Danish Javed from the AYUSH Department, Yoga Instructor Shweta Mishra, Dr. Rajay Bharshankar from the Department of Physiology, and Dr. Anindo Majumdar from the Department of Community Medicine.

Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, congratulated the entire team for this remarkable achievement.

Dr. Malhotra expressed his gratitude, stating, “The positive atmosphere at AIIMS Bhopal over the past two years and the support provided by Prof. Ajai Singh for research have led to the setting of new benchmarks.”
