Bhopal, Under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal an awareness camp on organ donation camp was organized on Saturday at Sagar Public School. The event was a significant part of the Government of India’s Organ Transplant Month initiative, aimed at raising awareness and providing vital information about organ transplantation. The camp featured detailed sessions by the Department of Anesthesia, Urology Department, and Cardiac Surgery of AIIMS Bhopal. Experts from these departments shared comprehensive insights into various aspects of organ transplants, educating students on the importance and procedures involved in organ donation.
Students participated enthusiastically in various quiz competitions organized during the camp, demonstrating their keen interest and eagerness to learn about organ transplantation. The event also aimed to inspire students to become advocates for organ donation within their communities.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh emphasized the profound impact of organ donation, stating, “Organ donation not only gives life to one person but also brings hope and life to an entire family.” He highlighted the importance of such events in fostering a culture of organ donation and transplantation in the country.
As part of AIIMS Bhopal’s ongoing public awareness campaign, students were encouraged to motivate their families, neighbors, and relatives to join the cause of organ donation. They were also guided to take a pledge for organ transplantation by visiting the Government of India’s dedicated website.
