Bhopal: In observance of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Department of Pediatrics at AIIMS Bhopal, in collaboration with the Departments of Pediatric Surgery, Radiotherapy, and Medical Hematology & Oncology, organized a comprehensive series of activities throughout September. The initiative aimed to increase awareness about childhood cancer and emphasize the importance of early detection and timely treatment. Recently the Pediatric Hematology Oncology Division hosted a special event in the Pediatric OPD area. This event was dedicated to interacting with children suffering from childhood cancer, their families, and other patients. The session provided an opportunity to spread critical information and foster a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those battling childhood cancer.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, expressed his commitment to the cause, stating, “Early detection of childhood cancer and timely treatment can make a significant difference in these children’s lives. At AIIMS Bhopal, we are dedicated to ensuring that every child receives the best possible care and treatment. Through these awareness efforts, we are working towards a better future for these children.”
