- After NGT order, 386 structures were removed from Bhadbhada on the last day on Saturday

In compliance with the orders given by the National Green Tribunal (NGT), all encroachments in front of Hotel Taj in Bhadbhada area on the banks of Upper Lake have been removed.
On the fourth day of the encroachment removal work, the work of removing 118 structures was done through JCB and labourers. Thus all 386 structures surveyed were removed. The fire brigade was also present with its resources during the said action. The work of removing the structures was observed by Corporation Commissioner Frank Noble A and senior officials of the district and police administration. During the work of removing encroachment, Deputy Police Commissioner Ramji Srivastava, Additional Commissioners of the Corporation, Vineet Tiwari and Pawan Singh, SDM, Tehsildar, Deputy Commissioner Yogendra Singh Patel, other officials of the district a large number police force and municipal administration were present
Advice was given to remove encroachments
As per the order of NGT, on the fourth and last day of the action taken by the district administration to remove encroachments in front of Hotel Taj in Bhadbhada area on the banks of Upper Lake, all the structures surveyed in this area were removed. 30 structures were removed on the first day of the work, which started last Wednesday, 109 on the second day, 129 on the third day and 118 structures were removed on the fourth and last day. Thus, action was taken to remove a total of 386 structures. Before the action, the encroachers were advised by senior officials of the district administration, municipal corporation and police administration including District Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh to remove their encroachments themselves. The residents were also assured of full cooperation by the administration in getting displaced to other places.
