New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) After Delhi court issued summons to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi on Tuesday, party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has claimed that all opposition leaders would be arrested in false cases if Prime Minister and Senior BJP leader Narendra Modi return to power.
Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court summoned Delhi Cabinet Minister Atishi in a defamation case filed by BJP leader Praveen Shankar Kapoor over her allegations that the BJP attempted to poach AAP MLAs by offering them ‘Rs 20-30 crores’ to join their party.
In a social media post on X, Kejriwal alleged that the BJP is now hatching a conspiracy to arrest AAP leader Atishi.
“I had said earlier that they will arrest Atishi next. They are planning to do so now. Complete dictatorship. In completely flimsy, frivolous and false cases, they are arresting all leaders of AAP one by one,” he claimed.
“Every single opposition leader will be arrested if Modi ji comes back to power,” the Chief Minister alleged.
He further said, “AAP is not important. Saving our dear country from dictatorship is important.”
