- Two cities of country included in 31 cities of world

Indore city, which is consistently at the top in the country in terms of cleanliness, has got another big achievement. Indore has been declared a wetland city. Ramsar Convention has declared two cities of the country as wetland cities, in which Indore as well as Udaipur city of Rajasthan are also included.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has described this achievement of Indore as an achievement of the country and the state. He said that this is a proud moment for the state. Ramsar, an international organization working in the field of environmental protection, has released a list of 31 wetland cities on Saturday. In this, those cities have been honored which along with conserving their wetlands, also make excellent contribution in urban development. For the first time, two cities of the country, Indore and Udaipur, have also been included in this.
It is noteworthy that recently Indore was nominated by the Central Government to be recognized as a prestigious wetland city by the Ramsar Convention.
Sirpur and Yashwant Sagar in Indore have already been declared Ramsar sites
Indore city was one of the cleanest cities in the country and the state from the environmental point of view, along with this Indore got the pride of being the first wetland city of the country. Indore, developed as an industrial area, is also maintaining balance in the field of environment. Sirpur and Yashwant Sagar in Indore have already been declared Ramsar sites. Along with the conservation of lakes, environmental improvement and development of ideal habitat for birds, Sirpur is being developed as a bird sanctuary.
