Amarwara seat: All preparations complete for counting today

Bhopal: Additional Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Rajesh Kaul informed that under the Assembly by-election 2024, counting of votes for Assembly Constituency No.-123 Amarwara (ST) of Chhindwara district will start from 8 am on Saturday, July 13. This counting will be done in two halls in Government PG College Bhawan, Chhindwara. All arrangements for counting of votes have been made. Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officer, Collector and District Election Officer have been instructed to strictly follow the security norms.

17 tables will be set up for counting of votes

17 tables will be set up for counting of votes cast by voters in EVMs and 4 tables for counting of postal ballots in 332 polling stations of Amarwara assembly constituency. Counting of votes will be completed in about 20 rounds.

3-tier security system 

A three-tier security system has been ensured at the counting place. Only authorized pass holders will be allowed to enter. No unauthorized person will enter the counting center. There will be a three-tier randomization of counting personnel. First and second level randomization has been done. The third randomization will be done on July 13 at 5 am.

There will be a counting supervisor, a counting assistant, a counting staff and a micro observer at each counting table. About 75 counting personnel will conduct the counting.
