Suryapet, Oct 27 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced that a BC candidate will be appointed as Chief Minister after the BJP comes to power in Telangana.
Addressing the Jana Garjana Sabha held at the district headquarters on Friday, Amit Shah stated that both the BRS and Congress are family-centric parties and may not adequately serve the interests of the people of the state.
He said, “Chief Minister and BRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao wants his son Rama Rao to become the next Chief Minister, while Congress leader Sonia Gandhi envisions her son Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister. They prioritize ‘Pariwar Kalyan’ (family welfare). Those dedicated to their family’s welfare may not necessarily work for the greater good of the people. However, the BJP is committed to ‘Garib Kalyan’ (welfare of the poor).”
Referring to the BRS and Chief Minister, the Union Minister questioned what had become of the promises made since 2014. “Chandrasekhar Rao! You promised to appoint a Dalit as Chief Minister. What happened to that? Where is the three acres of land for Dalits? What became of the Rs. 50,000 crore allocation for Dalits in the budget? Why hasn’t the government allocated Rs. 10,000 for BCs?” Amit Shah asked. He added that Prime Minister Modi established the BC Commission, approved the long-pending Sammakka-Sarakka tribal university for Telangana, and sanctioned a Turmeric Board.
“We have appointed the Krishna Water Dispute Tribunal to resolve the dispute between the two states. We have directly transferred Rs. 9,000 crore to the accounts of 40 lakh farmers, with Rs. 6,000 in each account. We hve providing potable water through the Jal Jeevan Mission, constructing toilets in the homes of the poor, and providing free rice to 1.9 crore families,” said the Home Minister, highlighting the measures taken by the BJP Government at the Centre.
Amit Shah informed the public that the Prana Pratishta for the Rama Mandir in Ayodhya, performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will take place in January 2024, and he urged the public to attend the grand event.
BJP State President and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy promised that, after the party comes to power in the state, all the poor will receive free education and free healthcare.
“We will extend free education and healthcare to the underprivileged. All farmers will receive crop insurance,” said Kishan Reddy, emphasizing that Suryapet embodies the spirit of resistance against the Nizams. He noted that after a gap of 75 years, Liberation Day was celebrated in Hyderabad by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
We will provide a corruption-free government, and our Chief Minister will be accessible to the public. It is imperative to defeat both the BRS and Congress. Any vote for Congress will ultimately support the BRS, as it’s evident that 12 Congress MLAs are still affiliated with the BRS and are contesting under its banner,” Kishan Reddy added.
