Anubhuti program at Van Vihar National Park-Zoo

  • On the theme “Main Bhi Baag” and “Hum Hain Badlaav”

Bhopal: Under the Anubhuti program, the Forest Department gave information about forest, wildlife and environmental conservation to school students. In coordination with Madhya Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board, a training-cum-awareness camp was organized on January 9 on the theme “Main Bhi Baag” and “Hum Hain Badlaav”. 108 students and 7 teachers of Government Rajiv Gandhi Higher Secondary School, Machana Colony Bhopal participated in the camp.

As the master trainer of the Anubhuti program, A.K. Khare, retired Deputy Forest Conservator as well as Van Vihar Biologist Mr. Vijay Nandvanshi were also present. During this, Director Van Vihar Meena Awadheshkumar Shivkumar, Assistant Director Van Vihar S.K. Sinha and other officers and employees were also present.

Anubhuti book and other gifts given to students

Every child participating in the camp was given Anubhuti book, Anubhuti bag, cap, brochures of Van Vihar as well as brochures of aquatic birds, terrestrial birds, butterfly species, vulture key. The students were given information about bird watching, wildlife watching, nature trail tour, forestry activities present at the site and food chain by the master trainers and new motivators. Also, the participants gained information by playing food web, food chain related games. Interesting activities related to forest, wildlife and environment were conducted.
