New Delhi, (UNI) Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parliament House, and expressed gratitude for approving an urea plant in Namrup in the Budget 2025-26.
He also termed the decision of the Central Government as a ‘game-changer” in the State’s developmental journey.
During the meeting, both the leaders also discussed about the upcoming “Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit”
As per the official statement, the Chief Minister acknowledging the valuable guidance from the Prime Minister and also on the mega Jhumur performance to be staged a day before the investment and infrastructure summit.
Prime Minister Modi will attend the Advantage Assam 2.0 as a Chief Guest on February 25 and also the mega Jhumur dance performance at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati.
Later talking to the micro-blogging platform X, the Chief Minister wrote, “On behalf of the people of Assam, I expressed our gratitude for the Govt’s decision to approve the Urea Plant in Namrup, which will be a game-changer in the State’s developmental journey”
“I received valuable guidance from Hon’ble Prime Minister on the upcoming Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit and the Mega Jhumur performance and shared our joy in welcoming him to Assam in a few days from now.”
