New Delhi, July 3 (UNI) The Congress on Wednesday alleged that their office in Gujarat was attacked by the people of BJP and this incident has justified Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s statement that BJP spreads hatred and violence.
The party also attacked the government on Manipur and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not mention Manipur while replying to the discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday and the Opposition leaders wanted to speak on this issue but they too were not allowed.
Congress Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi and Praniti Shinde told reporters in the Parliament House complex that the Congress office in Gujarat was attacked on Tuesday and people of RSS and BJP have allegedly carried out this violent attack.
He said, “This cowardly attack proves the point of LoP Rahul Gandhi in which he had said that people of BJP are spreading violence and hatred. The people of Gujarat will teach them a lesson at the right time and INDIA will win in Gujarat”.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi also expressed concern over the attack and said, “The cowardly and violent attack on the Gujarat Congress office further reinforces my point about the BJP and the Sangh Parivar. The people of BJP who spread violence and hatred do not understand the basic principles of Hindu religion. The people of Gujarat are clearly seeing their lies and when the time comes, they will teach a decisive lesson to the BJP government. I am saying again INDI alliance is going to win in Gujarat”.
Replying to a question on Manipur, Gogoi said, “A sad scene was seen inside the House yesterday. It was our demand and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi raised the issue that both the MPs from Manipur should present their views.
Because Rahul Gandhi ji knew that if both the MPs did not get equal opportunity to express their views, then a wrong message will go from the House to the people of Manipur. Our Inner Manipur MP expressed his views in the House but we wanted the Outer Manipur MP to also present views”. But it was unfortunate that Prime Minister Modi does not want to listen to the plight of Manipur”.
