- Convocation held at NIFT

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) on Friday held its 12th Convocation for the illustrious graduating batch of 2023 at the Kushabhau Thakre Convocation Centre. A total of 107 students, including 32 in Master of Fashion Management, 37 in Textile Design and 38 in Fashion and Lifestyle Accessory Design, graduated with distinction.
The event took place in the august presence of Chief Guest Om Prakash Sakhalecha, Minister MSME and Minister Science & Technology, Government of Madhya Pradesh and Prof. Dr. Sudha Dhingra, Dean, National Institute of Fashion Technology. He gave away the awards to the students who displayed exceptional commitment during their studies. Sejal Garg won the Student of the Year award and Spandan Pramanik was awarded the National Institute of Fashion Technology Exceptional Service Award.
Best Academic Performance Awards were won by Anubhav Kumar, Priyanshi Singhal and Shruti Narwal; Meritorious student awards were won by Siddharth Madan, Avi Anand, Sejal Garg, Bharti Vashisht, Shruti Narwal and Sukriti Pareek; The graduating event prizes were won by Rucha Gargade, Raina Garg, Kanak Mehta, Priyanshi Singhal, Sejal Garg, Shruti Narwal, Devanshi Pathak and Tushar Sharma.
40 percent startup initiatives by women in MP
The convocation was conducted under the overall supervision of Lt Col Ashish Agarwal, Director, National Institute of Fashion Technology Bhopal and Akhil Sahay, Joint Director and Controller of Examinations, NIFT Bhopal. The program ended on a good note where the chief guest congratulated the graduating batch of 2023 and talked about handicrafts and handlooms and how 40 per cent startup initiatives in a year are done by women in Madhya Pradesh. Joint Director, NIFT Bhopal proposed the vote of thanks.
