To ensure security on the occasion of Republic Day, a temporary ban has been imposed on parcel booking and transactions at railway stations in and around Delhi. This ban will be effective from 23 January 2025 to 26 January 2025. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria said that in view of the Republic Day celebrations, inward and outward transactions of parcel traffic (including leased SLR, VP and demand VP) have been completely banned at all railway stations in Delhi area for security reasons. Parcel warehouse and platform packing activities will remain prohibited during this period.
