Kolkata, Apr 6 (UNI) A massive fire destroyed an entire lubricant oil factory at Domjur in Howrah, in which some 18 firefighting vehicles were deployed to combat the blaze, official sources said on Sunday.
There were no reports of any human casualties in the blaze, which was first noticed around 2300 hours on Saturday.
All the labourers, who were inside the shade, evacuated safely from the same, which collapsed by the leaping flames.
The flames also partially damaged another factory in the vicinity.
The firefighting personnel from Howrah and the neighbouring Hooghly district battled for about six hours to douse the flames and smoke, sources added.
