Bharat Nyay Yatra renamed as ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’, to cover Arunachal

New Delhi Jan 4 (UNI) The Congress party on Thursday renamed the Bharat Nyay Yatra which will be undertaken by Rahul Gandhi on January 14, as the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’.

Briefing the media here, Senior Congress leader and General Secretary (communications) Jairam Ramesh said that the much-awaited yatra by Rahul Gandhi has been renamed as Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra as the 2022 successful Bharat Jodo Yatra has become a brand name.

The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by party president Mallikarjun Kharge with other leaders earlier in the day.

He said the yatra that will cover 15 states, including the state of Arunachal Pradesh too.

It may be mentioned that the Congress party had come under severe attack from the BJP for skipping AP.

Mr Ramesh said that Mr Gandhi’s yatra will also cover Arunachal Pradesh. “There were some delays as the routes were being finalised,” he added.

The senior Congress leader said, in Arunachal Pradesh Mr Gandhi will travel 44 km and will stay there for a day.

He also released the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra map route on his social media handles.

Giving a brief about the yatra, Mr Ramesh said it will begin from Manipur on January 14 and culminate in Porbandar, Gujarat.

It will be a 66-day yatra and will cover 6,700 km, and 110 Lok Sabha seats. The yatra would mostly be by bus, however, there will be padyatras also.

He said that all INDIA alliance partners are welcome to join the yatra, adding, that other regional parties of the state can also be a part of it.
