BHEL Bhopal Strengthens Commitment to Health, Safety & Environment with Corporate HSE Audit

Bhopal: A comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) audit was successfully conducted at BHEL Bhopal by a two-member audit team from Corporate, New Delhi. The audit aimed at assessing and enhancing workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and health protocols.

At the closing ceremony, A. Aurangabadkar, General Manager (WEX & MOD), reaffirmed BHEL Bhopal’s commitment to continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices. He assured the audit team that any identified gaps or suggestions would be addressed proactively.

Sapan Suhane, Additional General Manager (HSE), highlighted the proactive initiatives taken under the leadership of the Executive Director to foster a strong safety culture. He emphasized ongoing projects that reinforce environmental sustainability and workplace safety.

Lead Auditor Manish Kumar, Sr. Manager (BHEL Corporate-HSE), provided insights into the audit process, focusing on mutual communication, shop inspections, and document verification. He commended BHEL Bhopal’s dedicated efforts in HSE and underlined its key role in achieving the prestigious GreenCo rating.

The event also featured valuable inputs from Piyush Kumar Pal, Senior Safety Officer (BHEL-Haridwar), who shared best practices from other BHEL units. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Giriraj Agarwal, Deputy General Manager (HSE).
