Bhopal: A wave of outrage is building in Bhopal following allegations of severe police insensitivity in the Shahjahanabad area. A missing girl, reportedly found on April 5th soaked in blood, has allegedly been turned away by authorities for three days without a registered complaint or mandatory medical examination.
The victim’s family claims their daughter was kidnapped, raped, and brutally assaulted after disappearing from near her home. Despite informing the police after a frantic search, the family’s ordeal worsened when the girl was discovered bloodied and traumatized near her residence. Local residents alerted the police, who took her to the Idgah Hills police station.
Disturbingly, despite the girl’s distressed state and visible injuries, including alleged cuts on her hands, she was reportedly sent home after several hours of questioning without a medical assessment. Even after her brother’s persistent demands to register a complaint at Shahjahanabad police station, no action was allegedly taken.
The police station in-charge has reportedly denied the need for a medical examination. As of the latest reports, the victim and her family are at the police station, desperately seeking justice and demanding official intervention. This alleged negligence by Bhopal Police raises serious concerns about their commitment to law and order and the denial of crucial support to a vulnerable victim.
