Patna, Sep 9 (UNI) Some armed criminals shot dead BJP leader Shyam Sundar, alias Munna Sharma (55) under the Chowk police station area here on Monday.
Munna Sharma, a Chowk resident, was attacked by three motorcycle-borne criminals near Mangal Talab, according to police reports.
Police said that the injured BJP leader succumbed to the bullet injuries while being rushed to the hospital.
The reason behind the incident was yet to be ascertained.
The FSL team has arrived at the spot to investigate into the matter. The body has been sent to Nalanda Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
