- Friends sitting behind injured
Bhopal: A high-speed bike went out of control and collided with an electric pole on the roadside in Ratibad area. In this accident, the youth riding the bike died due to serious head injury, while both the friends sitting behind were injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The police have registered a case and handed over the body to the family after conducting the post-mortem. The reasons for the accident are being investigated.
According to the police, Lakhan Kanakere (23) was a resident of Kanhakunj Kolar Road. He used to set up a fruit cart earlier, but was not running the shop for the last few days. On Saturday, Lakhan had gone towards Sehore with his friends Shriram and Bhura. All three were riding on the same bike. In the afternoon, they were returning from Sehore via Bilkisganj.
At a turning near village Jhirnia in Ratibad police station area, their bike went out of control and collided with an electric pole on the roadside, due to which all three youths were seriously injured. After getting the information, the ambulance reached the spot and took them to Hamidia Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared Lakhan dead after checking. Lakhan was driving the bike at the time of the accident, due to which he suffered serious head injuries.
Local people told the police that the bike of the youths was at a very high speed. They tried to turn the bike at the turning near Jhirnia, but due to high speed, instead of turning, the bike collided with the pole in front. Police is investigating the matter.
Contractor booked for death due to electric shock
Police has registered a case against the contractor in the case of death of a laborer due to electric shock in Khajuri Sadak area. The incident is said to have taken place in September last year. According to the police, Santosh Saini (33) was originally from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. Last year, he came to work as a labourer in the railway track laying work going on near Bairagarh station. He worked with contractor Tushar Simpi, resident of Jalgaon, Maharashtra. On the night of September 10, 2023, around 9 pm, Santosh went to defecate, but did not return. The next day, he was found lying dead in village Bairagarh Kala near Phool Bagiya. He died due to electric shock. It was found that electric wires were laid from the ground for light in the temporary shed built for the workers to live. Santosh got electric shock from this wire. On this, the police have registered a case against contractor Tushar.
Youth thrashes woman
A youth beat up a woman who had come to buy goods at a shop in Hanumanganj area. According to the police, a 45-year-old woman living in Subhash Nagar behind Vishal Shadi Hall had gone to the neighborhood shop to buy goods at around 10 o’clock on Friday night. Meanwhile, a youth Kallu arrived in an inebriated state and started abusing. When the woman stopped him from abusing her, he started beating her. During this, he pushed the woman, due to which her head hit the wall. When the people around intervened, Kallu threatened them and ran away from there. The police have registered a case against the accused.
