Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has extended warm congratulations and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti, honoring him as a revered figure who achieved the status of a deity during his lifetime.
Dr. Yadav stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has designated Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti as an annual celebration. He highlighted that in the past, from the lands of Bihar and Jharkhand, Bhagwan Birsa Munda led a powerful resistance against the British, inspiring two significant freedom movements in the tribal regions.
Dr. Yadav said that state level programmes of Bhagwan Birsa Munda’ss Jayanti are being organised in Shahdol and Dhar. Through these programmes, those aspects of Bhagwan Birsa Munda in the freedom movement will also be brought forward, which strengthened the freedom movement.
