New Delhi, June 9 (UNI) BJP appointed Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Bhupender Yadav on Sunday as party observers for the election of the legislative party leader in Odisha.
The oath-taking ceremony of the first BJP government in Odisha has been rescheduled to June 12 from June 10, party leaders informed on Sunday.
Party leader Jatin Mohanty said the postponement was due to PM Modi’s prior commitments.
The BJP won 78 seats in the 147-member Odisha Assembly election..
The BJD, which had been in power in Odisha since 2000, has been reduced to just 51 seats, while Congress won 14, with four going to others.
