Bhopal, The Bhopal Municipal Corporation has set a new benchmark in city cleanliness by efficiently cleaning the streets and areas surrounding major events and festivals, showcasing their dedication to maintaining a clean environment. Following the conclusion of the Rangpanchami procession on Wednesday, the cleaning team worked promptly, completing the cleanup of procession routes and nearby areas in just 30 minutes.
Under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Harendra Narayan, who emphasized maintaining high standards for basic services like cleanliness, the corporation’s cleaning teams demonstrated their commitment. After the grand procession, which passed through key locations like Loha Bazaar, Jumeraati, Sindhi Market, Bhawani Chowk, Lakherapura, Chintaman Chauraha, Itwara, and Mangwara, the cleaning teams immediately sprang into action.
The cleanup was carried out by teams from Zones 2, 4, and 5, consisting of 30 cleaning staff members and 5 vehicles, all working under the supervision of assistant health officers. In a remarkable show of efficiency, the streets were cleared of waste, and all litter was sent to disposal sites within half an hour.
The Municipal Corporation has now incorporated a well-planned cleanup process for such events, ensuring that as the procession moves forward, the cleaning team follows closely behind. This quick and organized approach not only ensures cleanliness but also sets a model for future public events, highlighting Bhopal’s commitment to a cleaner, healthier city.
