Athens, Apr 12 (UNI) A bomb exploded Friday night outside the offices of Hellenic Train, Greece’s railway company that operates passenger and freight trains, national broadcaster ERT reported.
Initial reports said the blast caused material damage but no injuries, as local media received warning calls beforehand.
The police were quickly notified, and within a short time, traffic was halted, the building evacuated, and passersby were cleared from the area after the alert.
Hellenic Train confirmed that the explosion occurred very close to its head offices on Syggrou Avenue, saying: “We condemn any form of violence that fosters a climate of toxicity.”
