Budget is unprecedented in field of cow protection

Bhopal: Minister of State for Animal Husbandry (Independent Charge) Lakhan Patel has said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, this year is being celebrated as the Cow Protection and Promotion Year in Madhya Pradesh. The Budget 2024-25 presented by Finance Minister Jagdish Devda in the Assembly today will prove to be unprecedented in the field of cow protection and promotion. This will lead to the development of animal husbandry and dairy sector.

The major provisions made in the animal husbandry and dairy sector in the budget include Rs 895 crore for Intensive Animal Development Project, Rs 252 crore for cow conservation and promotion of animals, Rs 196 crore for Chief Minister Animal Husbandry Development Scheme, Rs 150 crore for Chief Minister Cooperative Milk Producer Promotion Scheme and Rs 100 crore for Cow Sanctuary Research and Production Center.
