Cabinet reshuffle, two Ministers resign in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, (UNI) In a major Cabinet reshuffle, two ministers, Ports Minister Ahammed Devarkovil and Transport Minister Antony Raju, have submitted their resignations to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday.

LDF Convener EP Jayarajan told newspersons that KB Ganesh Kumar and Kadannappalli Ramachandran will take oath as new ministers on December 29 in Raj Bhavan.

Meanwhile, Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly VD Satheesan asked the Left Government to reconsider its decision to give Cabinet post to KB Ganesh Kumar who allegedly involved in tarnishing the image of former late chief minister Oommen Chandy in the controversial solar sex scandal case.

He also alleged that Kerala Congress (B) leader KB Ganesh Kumar was the chief conspirator in the case.

Congress (S) leader Kadannappalli Ramachandran represents Kannur Assembly constituency while KB Ganesh Kumar represents Pathanapuram Assembly seat.

The reshuffle of the ministers is based on a power sharing agreement reached during the formation of the second Pinarayi Vijayan Government which completed two and a half years a few days ago.
