- BJP and Congress candidates never win for the third time
- If Jyoti wins, she will be first woman MLA of Parasia
Bharat Rai, Chhindwara
In the Parasia assembly constituency of Chhindwara district, candidates of both the parties are going to create history in this election. If Congress is crowned victorious in the assembly elections to be held on 17th of this month, then Sohan Valmik will be the first MLA from Parasia assembly constituency who will be elected MLA from Parasia assembly constituency for the third consecutive time. If BJP’s Jyoti Dehariya wins the 2023 assembly elections, she will be the first woman MLA from Parasia assembly constituency.
Who will be crowned the winner? Its decision will be taken only after the election results are declared. But this has become a question to ponder for political mathematicians. In the initial phase of elections, nothing can be said yet as to which candidate has the upper hand. In the initial phase of the elections, both the candidates are seen to be overpowering each other, there are signs of infighting among the workers and leaders of both the parties regarding the candidates. In the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, while BJP has fielded a woman candidate for the first time from the seat reserved for Scheduled Caste category in Parasia Assembly, Congress has once again staked its claim on sitting MLA Sohan Lal after huge protests.
Local issues missing in the election campaign – Congress has given tickets to all the MLAs in the year 2023, while BJP has fielded a new face in Amarwada Chorai including Parasia. BJP-Congress are counting only the achievements of Kamal Nath and Modi, leaving aside their own achievements in the electoral battle. Local issues seem to be missing in the election campaign. The BJP candidate is counting dozens of public welfare schemes of the central government. Whereas Congress candidate is busy in realizing the dream of making Kamal Nath the Chief Minister.
40 years of tradition of Parasia
It has been the tradition of the Parasia assembly constituency that till now no candidate from this assembly constituency has won here for the third time. Due to which there is discussion among the general public that no person has become MLA for the third time in Parasia assembly constituency. Congress’s Sohan Lal is contesting his fourth election. He had lost the elections for the first time from Tarachand Babaria, whereas he has been winning the elections twice in a row from BJP’s Tarachand Babaria.
