- One seriously hurt
Bhopal: A car fell into a canal in Bhopal. Two youths died in this accident, while one was seriously injured. He has been admitted to the hospital.
The incident happened on Wednesday night. It is being told that the car riders were friends. They were making a video on mobile in the moving car, when their car went out of control and fell into the canal. The bodies were taken out by breaking the glass of the car.
Police said that at around 11:30 pm on Wednesday night, Palash Gaikwad (25), a resident of Kolar, was going in the car in Kolar area with his friends Vineet (22) and Piyush Gajbhiye (24). Palash and Vineet died on the spot in the accident. Both of them were grade 4 employees of PWD. They were appointed on compassionate grounds. While the injured Piyush is a software engineer in Amazon. Family members said that Vineet was driving the car.
The post-mortem of the bodies of both the youths has been done in Hamidia Hospital. Piyush is undergoing treatment. Right now his condition is said to be out of danger.

Piyush Gajbhiye’s father Vikas Gajbhiye said, I got a call at 11:53 pm, someone said that Piyush has met with an accident. I immediately reached the culvert at Inayatpura. Palash was lying at one place, he had serious head injuries. My son was lying outside and was pleading for help from the people around. Vinit was stuck in the car, which had fallen into the canal.
He further said, Piyush told that the rear glass was broken. He somehow came out by breaking the glass. He tried to open the gate of the car, but the gate could not open. Due to this, he could not bring Vinit out.
Vikas told that Piyush also told that Vinit was driving the car using Snap Chat, due to which this accident happened.
Eyewitnesses said that the bodies of both were taken out with great difficulty by breaking the glass of the car.
Deceased Vinit’s brother-in-law Manish said that we came to know that an accident had happened. When we went to the spot in the morning, we came to know that the culvert is very narrow, while the road is wide. Apart from this, barricading was also not done on the culvert. This is the reason why this accident happened.
