CAS extends deadline for Vinesh Phogat decision until tomorrow

Paris, Aug 10 (UNI) The ad hoc division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Saturday granted an extension until 6:00 pm on August 11 for Sole Arbitrator Dr Annabelle Bennett to issue a decision in the ongoing case involving Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat and the United World Wrestling (UWW) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

This extension allows additional time for the Arbitrator to review the complexities of the case thoroughly.

The reasoned order detailing the decision will be released at a later date, as confirmed by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).

Phogat’s case has drawn significant attention, given its implications for both her career and broader wrestling regulations.
