Chandrababu Naidu moves SC, challenges his arrest & FIR

New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National President, Chandrababu Naidu, has moved the Supreme Court on Saturday, challenging his arrest and the FIR registered against him in the alleged Rs 371 crore skill development scam case.

Naidu had approached the doors of the Supreme Court on Saturday after the Andhra Pradesh High Court dismissed his petition, saying that it couldn’t interfere in the case since the “investigation is on fulcrum of attaining finality”.

Justice Sreenivasa Reddy of the AP HC, while yesterday dismissing Naidu’s petition, said the investigating agency, examined more than 140 witnesses and collected about 4,000 documents pursuant to the registration of the crime in the year 2021.

The AP HC had said, therefore, that this court was not inclined to interfere with the ongoing proceedings when the investigation was on the fulcrum of attaining finality.
