Child dies after slipping from mother’s lap and falling on road

Bhopal: A one and half year old child died after jumping from mother’s lap and falling on road in Eintkhedi area on Wednesday night. At the time of the accident, the child’s family was sitting in an electric auto. They were returning home after meeting a relative. On the way, the auto suddenly swerved on a breaker, then the child sitting in the mother’s lap jumped and fell on the road. Police registered a case and after conducting postmortem, handed over the body to the family. The reasons for the incident are being investigated. According to the information, Harikesh Ahirwar, originally a resident of Rewa, lives here in Navibag and works in a private job. On Wednesday, he went to a relative’s house with his wife and one and half year old child Vidit Ahirwar. At around 10:30 pm, both of them were returning home in an electric rickshaw.

The child Vidit was sitting in his mother’s lap. When the rickshaw suddenly swerved near a breaker or a pit near Lambakheda, Vidit, who was sitting in his mother’s lap, slipped and fell on the road. He had a serious head injury. The family took him to a nearby private hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared him dead after checking. After receiving information from the hospital, the police reached the spot, registered a case and after conducting a post-mortem, handed over the body to the family. Further action will be taken after investigating the causes of the incident.

College student rapes teenager

On the report of a minor girl, Jahangirabad police has registered a case against a college student under various sections including physical exploitation and POCSO Act. The accused was exploiting the victim for about a year. Some time ago, when the teenager became pregnant, he gave her abortion pills. The matter came to light when the victim’s health deteriorated. According to the police, the 16-year-old teenager living in the area stays at home after studying till eighth standard. Her parents go to work. A 20-year-old youth, originally from Sehore, lived on rent in the room in front of her house. He was studying in college in Bhopal. Due to living close, both of them became friends.

A few months ago, when the teenager was alone at home, the student had physical relations with her. Later, he started sexually exploiting her by threatening to defame her. A few days ago, when the teenager became pregnant, the student gave her abortion pills. The girl had to be admitted to the hospital after her health suddenly deteriorated. On being questioned, she told the family about the student’s misdeed. When the matter reached the police, a case was registered against the accused on the girl’s report. Currently, the girl is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Meanwhile, the police have taken the accused into custody. He is being questioned.

Unknown youth injured after falling from train dies

A youth fell from a moving train in Nishatpura area. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared him dead after checking. After receiving information from the hospital, the police reached the spot, registered a case and kept the body in the mortuary for post-mortem. According to the police, at around 10 am on Wednesday, information was received that a person has fallen from a moving train near the Devki Nagar railway track. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the injured person to Hamidia Hospital for treatment, where he died. No document was found with the deceased, which could help in his identification. His age is said to be around 35 years. At present, the police has kept the body in the mortuary. The information about the age and appearance of the deceased has been noted by all the GRP police stations besides the local police stations.

Smugglers caught selling liquor on dry day

Due to Gandhi Jayanti being a dry day, the liquor shops in the city were closed. In such a situation, smugglers smuggling illegal liquor remained active. The police arrested several smugglers who had set out to sell illegal liquor and seized liquor worth thousands of rupees from them. Cases have been registered against all the accused under the Excise Act.

According to the information, a team of Shahjahanabad police was patrolling in Bajpai Nagar Multi. Meanwhile, information was received that a boy was roaming around in the slum area behind the multi with liquor in a bag to sell it. The police reached the spot and cordoned off the area and took the suspicious youth into custody. On searching, 19 quarters of liquor kept in the bag were seized. The name of the arrested accused is said to be Adil alias Bachcha, resident of Idgah Hills.

Similarly, another police team arrested Mukesh Bamnere (29), resident of Bajpai Nagar Multi Shahjahanabad, from Prabhunagar area with illegal liquor. A total of 30 quarters of liquor were seized from him.

Shahpura police arrested a woman Laxmibai from Saraswati Nagar with illegal liquor. A total of 17 quarters of liquor were seized from the woman.
