Bhopal: A class XII student living in Awadhpuri died of suicide by hanging herself in her house on Saturday. No suicide note has been found with the deceased. Police have seized the student’s iPhone and laptop for investigation. The deceased studied in a reputed school in Ratibad, while her father is a professor in a private college in the capital.
At the time of the incident, the parents had gone to the hospital, while the cousin aunt was present at home. In the evening, when the maid reached the student’s room to give tea, the matter was revealed. At present, the police have registered a case and after conducting the post-mortem, handed over the body to the family.
After the death of their only daughter, the parents are in a state of panic. Police station in-charge Ratan Singh said that Adhya Parihar, daughter of Rajiv Singh Parihar (17), lived in Awadhpuri Phase-2 and was studying in class 12 in a reputed school located in Ratibad. Her father Rajiv Singh is a professor in a private college in Bhopal, while her mother is a housewife.
A cousin aunt of Adhya has to get a pacemaker installed, due to which she is admitted in the hospital. On Saturday, the parents went to the hospital to see her. Adhya and her other cousin aunt were at home.
At around four in the evening, the aunt told Adhya that let’s go out somewhere. On this, Adhya told that she has an online class right now, we will go after attending it. After that she went to her room to attend the class, while the aunt remained sitting on the ground floor.
When maid reached with tea, the door did not open
At around six in the evening, the maid reached home and made tea. Aunty said to deliver Aadhya’s tea to her room. When the maid reached with the tea, Aadhya did not open the door. The maid told aunty that she thought she might be sleeping, but when she called Aadhya’s mother, she came to know that she does not sleep in the afternoon, so try to open the door again.
When the door did not open with the efforts of aunt and maid, neighbor Siddharth Tripathi reached there. When he peeped inside from the window, Aadhya was seen hanging from the window rod with a noose.
Meanwhile, Avadhpuri police also reached immediately. Somehow the door was opened, Aadhya was already dead. Police registered a case and sent the body for postmortem and handed over the body to the family after the postmortem on Sunday.
No suicide note of any kind was found during the search of the room. Aadhya had an Apple laptop and iPhone, which have been seized by the police. CDR of both her mobile numbers is being obtained.
Parents were distraught
TI Singh said that Aadhya was born in Rajiv Singh’s house about eight to ten years after his marriage. Being the only daughter, she was the darling of the whole family. She studied in a reputed school in Ratibad till class tenth. Two years ago, she was admitted to another reputed school in the same area. After the incident, the family is in a state of shock, so their statements could not be taken. The reasons for hanging are expected to be revealed only after extracting the call details of the mobile.
