Bhopal: Club Literati in association with The Nature Volunteers Society, Indore organised an engaging discussion on the coffee table book “Birds of Bhopal” with its author Abhilash Khandekar moderated by Robin Dutta.
The event commenced with the welcome of the author, a veteran journalist with over 40 years of experience in print media.
Robin Dutta, a nature lover and wildlife photographer posed questions about the author’s experiences of writing the book and co-founding TNV, an NGO working towards environmental conservation.
The author answered all questions with great passion and also shared that he had researched for three years before documenting all the 312 species of birds in the book along with co-authors Dr. Satish Pande and Pramod Deshpande.
His previously written books on politics and history were also briefly discussed which highlighted his experience in political journalism as well.
The session was closely followed by a Q&A where the audience and the author engaged in a discussion on the winged beauties of Bhopal.
The one-of-a-kind event was concluded by book signing and a vibrant interaction between the guests and the members of the audience.
