Gas cylinder for Rs 450 to Ladli Bahnas; sisters will get permanent houses under Ladli Bahna Awas Yojana
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that gas cylinders will be given to the Ladli Bahnas for Rs 450 by preparing a scheme. The state government will pay the remaining money. The permanent houses of those poor sisters will be built under the “Ladli Bahna Awas Yojana” whose names have been left out in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by collecting applications from them. The government will pay the increased bills of those poor Ladli Bahna who have received increased electricity bills. The increased electricity bills will be reduced to zero by this month and from next month, the bills of those sisters whose electricity consumption is less than one kilowatt will get bill of only Rs 100. From next year, Rs 25 thousand will be deposited in the accounts of children who get more than 60 percent marks in class 12th. Scooty will be given to the children who get first, second and third rank in village and city schools in class 12th.
The Chief Minister made these announcements today at the Ladli Bahna Sammelan in Gwalior. He deposited Rs 1269 crore into the accounts of 1.31 crore Ladli Bahnas through a single click. He gifted development works worth Rs 387 crore to Gwalior.
Shri Chouhan said that the family of 1.25 crore Ladli Bahnas has now become even bigger. Now, by including the married sisters of 21 to 23 years of age and the sisters who were deprived of getting the benefits of the scheme due to having a tractor in their house, this family has now become a family of about 1.31 crore sisters.
Ladli Bahnas will get gas cylinder for Rs 450
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Ladli Bahna Yojana is bringing changes in the lives of sisters. Many sisters have started their own businesses. Rs 1250 per month will be issued to the sisters from the month of October. He said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has reduced the price of gas cylinder by Rs 200. We had told to provide gas cylinder for Rs 450 in Sawan. In this sequence, a scheme is being implemented in the state, under which there will be a provision to give gas cylinders to the sisters for Rs 450 and the remaining amount will be provided by the state government.
Scope of activities of women’s SHGs expanded
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Laadli Bahna Yojana is not just a scheme but a movement. This is a movement to remove the sorrows of the sisters, to make their lives happy, not to force them but to make them strong and change their lives. The affection and love of my sisters is an inspiration for me to work tirelessly and without stopping.
Our government is making every possible effort to increase the income of the sisters to Rs 10,000 every month. The scope of activities carried out by women’s self-help groups is continuously increasing. The sisters have also been given the responsibility of running three Toll Tax Nakas in the state. 30 percent of the amount collected from toll tax will be given to the sisters.
State made unprecedented progress: Tomar
Union Agriculture Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that Chief Minister Shri Chouhan is sensitively active in the empowerment of women and girls, education of students and making the youths self-reliant. Under his leadership the state has made unprecedented progress. Union Minister Shri Tomar thanked CM Shri Chouhan for laying the foundation stone of Ghatigaon project costing Rs 344 crore for providing drinking water in 186 villages and other construction works.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia said that daughters were considered burden in the society but Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has changed the attitude of the people of the state towards daughters due to his thinking of social change and the works done in this direction. The impact of the efforts made for women empowerment is clearly visible. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, the state has joined the leading states of the country.
